Established in 1972, Federation of Hosiery Manufacturers’ Associations of India (FOHMA) has been relentlessly striving since inception to ensure equitable growth and sustained development for the hosiery industry on a pan-India basis. Being the apex body, FOHMA has been the voice of the Indian Hosiery fraternity for four decades now – working through its representatives to raise issues of concern, highlighting problems of the industry, suggesting ways & means of developing the sector and providing practical inputs to the Central and / or State Governments. Over the last one and half years, it has been rentlessly fighting for the removal of mandatory excise duty on branded products and also raised its concern about the duty free imports from Bangladesh – which is affecting the domestic industry very badly.
